Thrasherのロゴグッズをここ最近海外で見かける機会がすごい増え、その影響か自分でも久しぶりに引っ張り出してよく着ています。
Vetements、ゴーシャラブチンスキーなどスラッシャーのパロディーを出しているので、その影響かと思っていましたが。。
幾つかの海外サイトも同じような疑問、内容でThrasherについて書いているので、Vouge USA、Wmagazineの和訳をつけました。
前とは違う明確な事は、女性がThrasherを着ちゃうってことですね。。

How many times you’ve bumped into a girl wearing a Thrasher Magazine t-shirt while browsing a street style photo album? This trend has been sensed by Vogue USA as well, which dedicated a whole feature to the phenomenon.
The question is very clear: how (and when) did exactly this t-shirt turned from niche object of the skate culture to indispensable item in all trend setters’ wardrobes? Whether it is worn on a pair of ripped jeans or matched with a skirt from Dior’s latest collection, the important is to show it off (and instagram it) fiercely.
Is it the girls’ sudden desire to look like bad girls? Or Vetements‘ success which brought back to the top the macro logos of the capitalist culture? The reasons are many, and as you should know nothing travels faster than the tendencies seen on the streets.
