Selected Works by Aandersson Ceramics
By day Ian Anderson is an Urban Outfitters menswear buyer, and by night an up-and-coming ceramist. Looking at these pieces it’s hard to believe that they are his debut as ceramist and that he’s just 23. In his studio he’s exploring forms and shapes and making utilitarian objects from stoneware clay.
His current work is an exploration of how form relates to function. The user is slightly pushed out of his comfort zone by distorted classic utilitarian forms, but it only makes him pay more attention to mundane daily activities.
